Joe Benarroch, a senior NBCUniversal executive, has joined Twitter as Elon Musk continues to reshuffle the leadership of the social media platform.
Beginning on Monday, Mr. Benarroch will focus on business operations in his new position.
It happens less than a month after Linda Yaccarino, the vice president of advertising at NBCUniversal, was named as Twitter's new CEO.
She will fill the role currently held by Mr. Musk, who will continue to play a significant role in the business.
The New York office of Twitter will be Mr. Benarroch's base of operations, according to an update he made to his LinkedIn profile.
"I am looking forward to bringing my experience to Twitter, and to working with the entire team to build Twitter 2.0 together," he wrote in a post about his move. ".

Mr. Benarroch served as NBCUniversal's executive vice president for communications, advertising, and partnerships in his previous position. He previously held a position at the dominant social media company Facebook.

A month after Elon Musk took control of the business in November 2022, Ella Irwin replaced departing leader Yoel Roth.
Content moderation, a subject that has received attention since Mr. Musk took control of the company, is the responsibility of the head of trust and safety.
Unknown factors may have led to Ms. Irwin's resignation. It did come a day after Mr. Musk publicly criticized a Twitter content moderation choice.
Since spending $44 billion (£35 point 4 billion) to acquire Twitter, Elon Musk has faced pressure to find a new CEO and turn his attention back to his other companies, such as electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla and rocket company SpaceX.
Ms. Yaccarino was appointed as Twitter's new CEO by Mr. Musk last month.
