The renowned Maldon Sea Salt Company in Essex announced that after having its expansion plans approved, it can now double production.
At Oval Park in Langford, Maldon District Council approved the construction of a new corporate, packaging, and distribution center.
Presently, production takes place in Goldhanger, and salt is checked and stored there before being exported to more than 60 nations.
According to the business, it is on an "ambitious growth trajectory.".

According to the Local Democracy Reporting Service, the new location at Oval Park will take the place of the Wycke Hill location in Maldon and should be operational by the end of this year.
The Maldon Crystal Salt Company is expanding its operations to meet demand, according to a statement to the council.
"Recent infrastructure investments will allow the company to double its production capacity in order to keep up with this continuously growing demand.
"Further infrastructure investment will be needed once production is fully operational, including packaging, distribution, and storage. ".
"The company wants to stay in the district and after searching for a number of years has identified Oval Park as the place it wants to be," said Nick Davey, agent for Maldon Sea Salt. ".
The plans for Tecniq, a company that designs, engineers, and manufactures technology for the high-end auto industry, were also approved by the council.
A planning meeting last week also approved an outline application for a self-contained business park, which the developers claim has the potential to generate 200 jobs in businesses of all sizes.
Additionally, it was decided to create a new parking lot with 148 spaces, designating the current 136 parking spots for the new construction.
Sue White, a councilwoman, declared: "For me, these are iconic companies. They are at a commercial location. We must advertise jobs, security, and the Maldon brand because, in my opinion, these are what make Maldon distinctive.
