The Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards, which recognize some of the best performances in television and film throughout the year, are being held in Los Angeles.
On Sunday, in advance of the ceremony, a plethora of celebrities walked the red carpet. The nominees and other guests who posed for pictures are shown here.
One of the first people to pose for pictures before the ceremony began was Euphoria star Zendaya.Danielle Deadwyler, who plays Till, and Jessica Chastain, who plays The Good Nurse.On the red carpet, British actors Eddie Redmayne (nominated for The Good Nurse) and Andrew Garfield made jokes together.Jenna Ortega, the lead actress nominee for Wednesday, and Viola Davis, the leading actress nominee for The Woman King.Barry Keoghan, an Irish actor, and Brendan Fraser, an American actor, were both nominated for The Banshees of Inisherin and The Whale, respectively.This award season, Cate Blanchett, who stars in Tár, has been dominating the leading actress category.Williams (from The Fabelmans) and Yeoh (from Everything Everywhere All At Once) are both up for best leading actress.For their roles in The Banshees of Inisherin, Brendan Gleeson, Kerry Condon, and Colin Farrell have all received nominations.For Everything Everywhere All At Once, Ke Huy Quan and Stephanie Hsu have both received nominations in the supporting categories.Austin Butler's portrayal of Elvis Presley in the biopic Elvis has already garnered him a number of awards.Jamie Lee Curtis received a nomination for her work in Everything Everywhere At Once.Actress Angela Bassett of the United States rocked a yellow tux, while Bill Nighy of Great Britain wore a black tux.For her work in West Side Story last year, actress Ariana DeBose won a SAG Award.Amanda Seyfried, star of The Dropout, and British actress Sheila Atim, who is Viola Davis' co-star in The Woman King.Bob Odenkirk of Better Call Saul and his wife Naomi, a producer of American movies.Julia Garner, who starred in the TV shows Ozark and Inventing Anna, is another nominee.For the films Aftersun and Blonde, respectively, Irish actor Paul Mescal and Cuban-American actress Ana de Armas are nominated.Jennifer Coolidge received a nomination for her work in the mockumentary television drama The White Lotus.SAG-nominated Women Talking star Rooney Mara (left) and British actress Emily Blunt.With her daughter Sadie Grace LeNoble, US actress Christina Applegate, who revealed in 2021 that she had been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, walked the red carpet.Adam Sandler and his wife Jackie attended the ceremony; he was nominated for his role in the movie Hustle.
