Residents of the area can now vote for tickets to King Charles' coronation concert.

Up to 500 pairs of tickets for the Sunday, May 7, evening event at Windsor Castle are available from the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead.

The voting period, which is open to anyone with a Royal Borough residential address, will end on February 28.

There will be 1,000 tickets available, with each candidate receiving the opportunity to nominate one guest.

The evening performance is held on May 7, the day following King Charles' coronation at Westminster Abbey, on the East Lawn of the Castle.

The council announced that winners would be selected at random from the applicants and that they would receive their tickets and event details in March and April.

The public in the UK can choose from 5,000 pairs of tickets through the local ballot, which runs concurrently with the national ballot.

The BBC will broadcast the event, which will be held on the East Lawn of the Castle, on BBC TV, radio, and online the day after King Charles is installed at Westminster Abbey.

The concert's complete lineup has not yet been determined.
