A sewing group's members have created nearly 20 quilts that they will give to Ukrainian families for their kids.
When the Ludlow Quilters claimed to have observed refugees entering Shropshire in 2022, they started making quilts.
According to Home Office data, more than 830 Ukrainians have moved to the county since the war started.
Jean Watt from the group said, "We thought it would be nice to make some quilts for their kids.".
"I suggested that it might be nice if we made 12-inch blocks out of our scraps that were fairly sizable and then added sashing to create a nice, colorful quilt. ".
The Ludlow Quilters have created 22 quilts, which they intend to present to local families on Saturday at their neighborhood Quaker meeting place.
They spend most Saturdays there to learn English, so we thought it would be nice to deliver the quilts to them, according to Mrs. Watt.
