Three people were hurt and one was killed in a shooting at a mall in El Paso, Texas.
Two suspects are reportedly in custody, and a non-duty police officer is reported to have tackled one of them. Authorities are not looking for anyone else.
On Wednesday, the incident took place at the Cielo Vista Mall.
It is close to a Walmart supermarket where 23 people were killed in one of the deadliest mass shootings in US history in 2019, which was motivated by race.
El Paso police chief Peter Pacillas stated on Wednesday that off-duty officers assisting mall security responded "within three minutes" and detained one suspect without using force.
The second arrest is not described in any detail. Males made up all four victims, Mr. Pacillas added. According to reports, two of the injured are in a critical condition.
Patrick Crusius, the shooter in that attack, pleaded guilty to 90 federal counts, including hate crimes and criminal use of a firearm, a week ago.
And on Monday, a shooter who entered the Michigan State University (MSU) campus fired, leaving three students dead and five others hurt.
