The GSPCA has been saving animals in Guernsey and beyond for 150 years.
The charity claimed to have seen hundreds of thousands of animals, including gulls attacking a goldfish recently as well as lion cubs, penguins, and lionesses.
It claimed to assist more than 3,000 sick, hurt, stray, mistreated, and unwanted animals annually.
For the month of February, the charity will run its Purple Month campaign to bring attention to the "momentous milestone.".
It said that in order to commemorate the noteworthy accomplishment since it was founded in 1873, it would run a number of events and celebrations for an entire month in addition to its yearly week-long awareness campaign with a purple-themed color scheme.
"We couldn't do so much without the amazing community," manager Steve Byrne said.
There are countless accounts of animals we have aided, such as the recently found goldfish Birdseye who has a new home. ".
Tim Pellet, a GSPCA training and community officer, said: "The GSPCA has undergone many changes over the years, from modest beginnings to our incredible animal shelter and charity shop.
"Raising the money to ensure that our work is carried out for another 150 years is currently our biggest challenge. ".
