Subject to international clearance, Brighton has acquired Swedish team AIK's Yasin Ayari.
The 19-year-old Swedish international agreed to a six million euro (£5.28 million) four-and-a-half year contract.
In 24 league appearances last season, he scored four goals. He made his AIK debut when he was 17 years old.
Yasin is a skilled and versatile midfielder who is good with the ball, according to Brighton director David Weir.
"He had a strong run with AIK in Sweden, and we are happy to have completed his transfer and welcome him to the team.
"We are really excited to work with him, but he will need some time to adjust to this place and the Premier League. ".
Earlier this month, Ayari made his senior international debut in a 2-0 victory over Finland.
For Ecuadorian midfielder Moises Caicedo, Brighton earlier turned down a second offer from Arsenal that was estimated to be worth around £70 million and informed the Premier League's top clubs that he is not for sale.
