A data breach has occurred at the ice rink operator Planet Ice, resulting in the theft of thousands of customer records.
Customers who purchased ice time at the rink received an email informing them that only non-financial information had been stolen.
It indicates that names, addresses, and passwords used for Planet Ice may have been accessible to scammers.
Including locations in Bristol, Leeds, and the West Midlands, the company manages 14 ice rinks in the UK.
In October 2021, the business opened its ice rink in Cribbs Causeway, Bristol.
According to Planet Ice, the security breach had an impact on about 200,000 people.
The organization issued a statement in which it acknowledged that personal data may have been improperly accessed or impacted by a data security incident. IMP-UK, which provides event services to Planet Ice, confirmed this.
